GOOD FRIDAY

When pondering the wondrous of love of God revealed on the cross, St. Augustine declared Felix Culpa -- O happy fault -- that our sin would move God to manifest such great love.

On Good Friday we must not forget that our Lord went to the cross because that is what we deperately needed. Our perverse brokenness and the unfathomable love of God meet on the cross.

This is Good Friday. Felix Culpa.

GOOD FRIDAY FAST

I am encouraging everyone at Saint Pat's to fast on Good Friday (actually Thursday supper until Friday supper). Some will do a total fast (no food, lots of water) and some will do a partial fast -- no meat, no sweets, simple and light eating. I pray it will be beneficial for all of us.

SAINT PATTY'S DAY PARADE

Well we did it. St Patrick's Anglican Church marched in the Lexington Saint Patrick's Day Parade. We put the "Acolyte Drill Team" on the street. Got a lot of laughs. It was fun. We were wet. We will do it again!! So...when is the Fourth of July Parade?

LEXINGTON SAINT PATRICK'S DAY PARADE 2005

Tomorrow a group of us from Saint Pat's will march in the Lexington Saint Patrick's Day Parade. My wife (Trudi) and Lester Ruth came up with the idea of forming an Acolyte Drill Team. That's right, an Acolyte Drill Team. A group of folks are doing routines to U2 music and Irish Folk Music using acolyte candle lighters rather than batons or rifles. It will be a hoot! Pray that it does not rain!
